kate-barton93: future-little-minhos: Twitter reactions to John Hurt as the doctor. A friend posted this on Facebook & I wanted to find the nearest cliff. I thought he was supposed to be a previous regeneration., not a new one. Also, to these idiots, yes, an old person can be the Doctor, haven’t you met the original? I would be honored to have John Hurt play the Doctor, he did wonderful things with Olivander and Kilgarah. I’d feel better if he was joining as a new regeneration rather than as an eff you to Eccleson. Also this means they can’t have a romance plot without it being creepy which I would look forward too, I can’t say I’m find of always making the companion a love interest. He is supposedly going to be a “time war” doctor between 8 & 9 or a regeneration way in the future like the Valeyard. He is reportedly not going to be the doctor right after Smith’s doctor. Just to clear up the confusion some people seem to have.
